A Taste of New Orleans

Friday 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Saturday 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., Sunday, 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. | Sunken Garden Theater – 3875 N St. Mary’s St, San Antonio 78212

This year is the 36th year of this family-friendly event hosted by SAZA (San Antonio Zulu Association). Come enjoy authentic New Orleans-style food including gumbos, shrimp creole, etouffee, alligator, and more! New Orleans-style music like zydeco, jazz, brass bands, and more will be playing all evening long!

Proceeds from this event will go towards college scholarship funds for graduating high school seniors as well as to assist those in need in the community.

Oyster Bake

From a small gathering of St. Mary’s University alumni on the San Antonio River downtown in 1916, Oyster Bake has evolved into a prestigious Fiesta San Antonio celebration that attracts over 70,000 attendees and involves more than 7,000 volunteers.

The Oyster Bake is more than just a party – it serves a purpose. All proceeds generated by the event are funneled back to St. Mary’s University to support the education and development of students who will become future community leaders. By attending the Oyster Bake, you can directly contribute to this noble cause. Thanks to the patronage of people like you over the years, the event has raised millions of dollars for student scholarships and university programs. We truly appreciate your support.

By the way, did you know that eventgoers consume a whopping 100,000 oysters and 32,000 chicken-on-a-sticks with jalapeno over the course of the two-day festival?

Rey Feo Public Crowing

Walk for Autism

Over 30,000 individuals living in Bexar and surrounding counties are affected by autism, which means that either you or someone you know has a personal connection with a child or individual facing the challenges of this condition on a daily basis.

Since its inception in 2003 with 200 participants, the Any Baby Can Walk for Autism has transformed into an official Fiesta® event, attracting over 6,000 participants and community partners from San Antonio, Bexar County, and South Texas. The event provides services and support for families raising individuals on the spectrum, with all proceeds remaining local to fund critical, one-of-a-kind programs at Any Baby Can of San Antonio.

Texas Corvette Association Car Show

The Chili Queens Chili Cookoff

May the best chili win!

In this unconventional interpretation of a historical event, competitors from all over put their chili recipes to the test.

From secret family recipes to award-winning techniques, competitors lay it on the line to prove their chili is the best.

The first-place winner of this competition will be taking home a BELT to show everyone who the champ really is! 

Each chili must be represented by a queen . . . Being glamorous won’t win you this competition!

We are looking for outfits that redefine the word tacky . . . The man or woman who can get the crowd to say “Wow that’s tacky!” will be given the official Whoochie award.

Come enjoy refreshing cocktails and the intoxicating energy of the legendary Bonham Exchange dance floor at this one-of-a-kind event!
